Terms and Conditions VIP EuroClub Promotion

  1. The Promotion

    Skrill (Moneybookers) credits loyalty points, as per the Skrill VIP Loyalty Club Terms and Conditions, where Participants, as defined below, receive 5 times as many loyalty points on their Eligible Transactions with Skrill (Moneybookers), (the “Promotion”).

  2. How to participate

    In order to take part in the Promotion, you (the “Participant”):

      • need to be a Skrill (Moneybookers) user.
      • must be 18 years or older to use our services.
      • have Skrill VIP status in accordance with the Skrill VIP Terms and Conditions at the time of the Promotion or qualify for VIP status as described in section 5 herein.
      • are not a holder of a business Skrill (Moneybookers) Account, (“Merchant Account”).
      • are not an employee or an immediate family member of an employee of Moneybookers Ltd. or any company in the Skrill (Moneybookers) Group.
      • have opted in to this Promotion by clicking the ‘Participate’ button in the Promotion email from Skrill (Moneybookers) and have received the corresponding confirmation email to your email address registered with your Skrill (Moneybookers) Account, or, have signed up for this Promotion through the Promotion website, or, have participated in the ‘Spring Cashback Promotion as per the Terms and Conditions Spring Cashback Promotion’.
  3. Eligible transactions and loyalty points credits

    Each payment you make to a Skrill (Moneybookers) Merchant from the day you have opted in to the Promotion, in any event not earlier than 00:00h GMT May 21st 2012 and prior to 23:59h GMT July 1st 2012, (the "Eligibility Period") shall be considered an eligible transaction, ("Eligible Transaction").

    Participants earn loyalty points on all Eligible Transactions. For every €1 of each Eligible Transaction, an equivalent of 5 loyalty points is added to the Participant’s loyalty points balance. 

    The bonus loyalty points will be credited to your Skrill (Moneybookers) Account every week. You will receive weekly email updates with your loyalty points balance. 

    General VIP Loyalty Club Terms and Conditions apply to this Promotion, including without limitation:

    • In case the Participant has more than one Skrill (Moneybookers) Account in different currencies (a ‘multi-currency account’), all transactions from all accounts shall be considered Eligible Transactions.
    • Transactions to Excluded Merchants as defined in Appendix 1 herein, person-to-person payments, uploads or withdrawals shall not be considered Eligible Transactions.
    • In case of multiple registrations per person, we take into account the first registered participation date for the promotion Eligibility Period.
    • Skrill (Moneybookers) reserves the right to disregard any transactions that Skrill (Moneybookers) in its sole but reasonable discretion deems an abuse of the Promotion, including but not limited to, transactions that have no commercial purpose, multiple transactions that are made to artificially increase the volume of Eligible Transactions or transactions that are not for the personal benefit of the Skrill (Moneybookers) account holder.

    Any abuse of the Promotion or failure to follow Promotion rules may result in voiding all credited loyalty points and termination of VIP status.

  4. Redemption of loyalty points

    Loyalty points can be redeemed for cash or rewards in accordance with the VIP Loyalty Club Terms and Conditions. For an up-to-date overview of rewards available to you, visit the VIP EuroClub store.

    The Participant must request by email at vip@skrill.com the number of points to be converted to rewards or cash. The VIP Loyalty Club member can redeem a maximum of 3 rewards every calendar month.

  5. VIP status and VIP Loyalty Club membership

    Participants with no VIP status with Skrill (Moneybookers) will be granted VIP status and Loyalty Club membership no later than 5 business days after the end of the Promotion if they:

    • transact €3,000 or more in Eligible Transactions during the Eligibility Period; and
    • provide the necessary verification documents in accordance with the Skrill (Moneybookers) requirements available at http://www.moneybookers.com/vip/support/index.html. If you are unsure about the required verification documents, please contact vip@skrill.com

    For the avoidance of doubt, Participants with no VIP status and less than €3,000 in Eligible Transactions during the Eligibility Period shall not be granted VIP status or Loyalty Club membership and shall not earn loyalty points.

    Skrill (Moneybookers) reserves the right to refuse VIP status in its sole but reasonable discretion. Skrill (Moneybookers) shall use reasonable endeavours to keep the Participant duly informed.

  6. End of Promotion

    Skrill (Moneybookers) reserves the right to end the Promotion at any time in its sole discretion or to make changes to the Promotion at any time in its sole discretion by giving notice to existing participants by amending the existing or issuing new terms and conditions on the Skrill (Moneybookers) website or by sending an email to the email address registered with the participant’s Skrill (Moneybookers) Account.

  7. Legal Recourse

    The present Promotion is brought to you solely by Moneybookers Limited(trading as Skrill (Moneybookers). By entering the Promotion, the participant accepts these Promotion Terms and Conditions. Skrill (Moneybookers) reserves the right to refuse the [Cashback/Bonus] where Skrill has reason to believe that you have breached or tried to breach these Promotion Terms and Conditions, the Skrill VIP Terms and Conditions, the Terms of Use of your Skrill (Moneybookers) Account, or attempted to circumvent Skrill (Moneybookers) security or operational procedures. All decisions by Skrill (Moneybookers) are final and binding and no further correspondence will be entered into. Participants agree that no legal action may be brought against Skrill (Moneybookers) by any Participant.

    Skrill (Moneybookers) is not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by participants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the Promotion; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participation in the Promotion or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.

    All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the present Promotion Terms and Conditions, or the rights and obligations of the participant and Skrill (Moneybookers) in connection with the [Cashback/Bonus] shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of England, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of England or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than England.
